The title is an excerpt from Bruno K. Öijer’s poem Romans.
In Där inga moln är vita sår på himlen, I let the viewer in to a personal sphere. My mother has lost a loved one, which has triggered a grieving process. She has recently moved from the big city of Stockholm to a little village in Dalarna, where the house takes on a new form from holiday home to permanent residence. After a long, volatile mother-daughter relationship, this death somehow brought us back together.
The photobook is about a mourning process, my mother’s, who is now trying to adapt to a new everyday life, but also my own, where I’ve had to face an unexpected sadness of seeing this memorable place enter a new phase.
